Fall Equinox fell on Sept 23 this year. The day when we shift from Summer to Fall, moving onto from greens to reds, oranges, yellows and browns. Crisp air with a bite of chill, yet the warm sun glowing on you - beautiful season that one can only experience.

And on this beautiful day I cant resist to post this song by the American rock band Green Day. Yes, I am talking about Wake Me Up When September Ends. **Evil Grin for those friends who understand** It was released as the fourth single of their 2004 album American Idiot and written by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. Although the song has the theme of break-up and sorrow from loss, it is perfect for the first fay of Fall because the season shows life even in death.  For that is what happens, leaves before they fall off become vibrant colored, depicting life persists on.

Lyrics in English:

Summer Has Come And Passed
The Innocent Can Never Last
Wake Me Up When September Ends

Like My Father's Come To Pass
Seven Years Has Gone So Fast
Wake Me Up When September Ends

Here Comes The Rain Again
Falling From The Stars
Drenched In My Pain Again
Becoming Who We Are

As My Memory Rests
But Never Forgets What I Lost
Wake Me Up When September Ends

Summer Has Come And Passed
The Innocent Can Never Last
Wake Me Up When September Ends

Ring Out The Bells Again
Like We Did When Spring Began
Wake Me Up When September Ends

Here Comes The Rain Again
Falling From The Stars
Drenched In My Pain Again
Becoming Who We Are

As My Memory Rests
But Never Forgets What I Lost
Wake Me Up When September Ends

Summer Has Come And Passed
The Innocent Can Never Last
Wake Me Up When September Ends

Like My Father's Come To Pass
Twenty Years Has Gone So Fast
Wake Me Up When September Ends
Wake Me Up When September Ends
Wake Me Up When September Ends

Talcott Mountain / Heublein Tower

Talcott Mountain is the backdrop of the offices of this location where I work. Driving past yesterday I saw the colors were in full bloom and stopped by first to take the snapshot of the mountain from afar. Then I decided to take an impromptu hike up the mountain and eventually up the tower. Little did I know that I would find so much beauty from top. I wonder why I hadnt hiked up the three years I had worked in this locaiton.
