53 Week Journey through the Land of Drapes and Colors: Week #11

For details on all the sarees I have posted so far, go here.

Due to the Covid-19 Quarantine period, I thought I may be unable to do anymore saree blogs since there would be no reason to wear a saree and go out. However, for fun video that my cousins from my mother's side wanted to do, I got an opportunity to drape one of these beauties.

For the video I dressed up in this navy blue and white combination saree with colorful prints in blue, white, pink, black and brown. It is made of Pashmina Silk, paired with the blouse of the same material.

Pashmina Silk is made of fine wool of Himalayan goat blended with fine silk. This particular saree is from the union territory Kashmir in the north of India and shows us the tradition of fine weaving from that region. More about this saree can be found here.

I accessorized it with silver and gold plated necklace and large earrings; finishing it off with navy blue and gold bracelets on my wrists. It was so fun getting ready and participate in the fun video.

I am hoping there will be more reasons to wear my sarees even in this quarantine period to keep me cheered up and to keep you all entertained. :)
