Barley Pongal

I have started having a fascination for Barley lately. And have made Barley Bisi Bele Bath so many times that my mind started to think other dishes to make with Barley. So I started with the simple Barley Pongal. I must say it turned out pretty good.

I used the same recipe as I did for Oats Pongal, however for Barley, soak it for 15 mins, drain it and use in the recipe. Note the Barle soaked water can be used as a refreshing drink and tastes very similar to coconut water.

Another Kitchen adventure completed successfully!!! Served here with Pepper Rasam and Zucchini Daal.
