Kartika Pournami is celebrated on the Full Moon Day day or the fifteenth lunar day of Kartika (November–December) by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world. It is also known as Tripuri Poornima and Tripurari Poornima. It is sometimes called Deva-Diwali or Deva-Deepawali - the festival of lights of the gods. (More about the festival here)

Here is a lovely song titled Aaraneekuma E Deepam Karteeka Deepam from the 1979 Telugu film Karthika Deepam ( = The Lamp Of Karthika Month) Sung by P. Susheela and S. Janaki. Music composed by Satyam and Lyrics penned by Devulapalli Krishna Sastry. The song depicts the key activities of that day performed by the people from Telugu region in India.
