Magic In Tunes: 10/21/2015 - Ra Ra Ra Ragamai, Na Na Na Naadamai

Ananda Bhairavi was released in 1983 in both Kannada and Telugu languages which went on to become a superhit. It’s a classical movie whose plot is based on the Kuchipudi  dance (traditional dance of the state of Andhra Pradesh. More about the dance here). I remember watching this movie a long time ago but don’t remember much of the plot as I had never seen it again. However, this song for some reason had remained somewhere hidden in my brain.

Sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam as always with strong vocals supported by the Music composed by Ramesh Naidu and Soorath Ashwath. I could not find the Lyrics of this song anywhere online and when I tried to write it down while listening to it, I felt it so complicated. Obviously Uday Shankar had penned them with a mix of traditional and colloquial Telugu along with a hint of classical tunes. An implore by the lead hero to the lead actress who was being taken away from him wrongly truly comes out in the words. If only I could write them and decipher too.
