Magic In Tunes: 04/11/2015 – Ek Bangla Bane Naayara

On this day of K. L.Saigal’s birth anniversary here is a beautiful melody from his 1937 hit Hindi film President. The song speaks about the dreams of a common man to own a home, which holds still true today. Kidar Sharma has penned the Lyrics so well that these lines have become a household one. Another fact about this film is that perhaps it’s the first film that portrays an independent woman who owns a mill which was not common back then.

K. L. Saigal was the first star of Indian Cinema who was a singer as well as an actor. Even today some of his songs are sung with reverence. This current melody sung by himself was composed by R. C. Boral. Interesting Enjoy it and dream of your home.

Lyrics in Romanized Hindi:

Ek Bangala Bane Nyara, Ek Bangala Bane Nyara
Rahe Kumba Jis Mein Saara
Ek Bangala Bane Nyara, Ek Bangala Bane Nyara

Sone Ka Bangala Chandan Ka Jangalaa, Sone Ka Bangala Chandan Ka Jangalaa
Vishvakarma Ke Dwara, Vishvakarma Ke Dwara
Sone Ka Bangala Chandan Ka Jangalaa, Vishvakarma Ke Dwara
Ati Sundar Pyara Pyara
Ek Bangala Bane Nyara, Ek Bangala Bane Nyara

Itana Uncha Bangala Ho Ye, Maano Gagan Ka Tara
Itana Uncha Bangala Ho Ye, Maano Gagan Ka Tara
Maano Gagan Ka Tara, Maano Gagan Ka Tara
Ji Spe Chadh Ke Indrahanush Par, Jhulaa Jhule Chand Hamara
Ji Spe Chadh Ke Indrahanush Par, Jhulaa Jhule Chand Hamara
Bhanda Rahe Lachami Ke Haathon Mei Sara
Bhanda Rahe Lachami Ke Haathon Mei Sara
Paaye Ab Je Bhar Ke Such Jisne Bipat Uthaye
Paaye Ab Je Bhar Ke Such Jisne Bipat Uthaye

Ek Bangala Bane Nyara, Ek Bangala Bane Nyara
Rahe Kumba Jis Mein Saara
Ek Bangala Bane Nyara, Ek Bangala Bane Nyara
