Magic in Tunes: 01/10/2015 – (You’re the) Devil in Disguise

“Sad Mary Fisher! She is learning that men who burn so hot for a mistress; cool-off fast when the mistress starts acting like a wife.”
~ Ruth in She-Devil

Wonder why I remember that line from that movie, but I do remember the song that plays at the end credits. It’s a one single by Elvis Presley published in 1963, written by Bill Giant, Bernie Baum and Florence Kaye. Not sure what or who Elvis had in mind when he released this song, but this suited perfect for Ruth Patchett who goes on a very meticulous revenge on her cheating husband who leaves her and their children for a rich bimbo (Sorry Meryl Streep!!! **Devilish Smile**).  Although this song has been used in many other movies or commercials, but this one stands out!!

Lyrics:

You Look Like An Angel
Walk Like An Angel
Talk Like An Angel
But I Got Wise
You're The Devil In Disguise
Oh Yes You Are
The Devil In Disguise

You Fooled Me With Your Kisses
You Cheated And You Schemed
Heaven Knows How You Lied To Me
You're Not The Way You Seemed

You Look Like An Angel
Walk Like An Angel
Talk Like An Angel
But I Got Wise

You're The Devil In Disguise
Oh Yes You Are
The Devil In Disguise

I Thought That I Was In Heaven
But I Was Sure Surprised
Heaven Help Me, I Didn't See
The Devil In Your Eyes

You Look Like An Angel
Walk Like An Angel
Talk Like An Angel

But I Got Wise
You're The Devil In Disguise
Oh Yes You Are
The Devil In Disguise

You're The Devil In Disguise
Oh Yes You Are
The Devil In Disguise
Oh Yes You Are
The Devil In Disguise
Oh Yes You Are
The Devil In Disguise
Oh Yes You Are
The Devil In Disguise
