A couple weekends ago I took my parents to visit a cousin of mine who lives up north in Vermont. One of the sights to visit on my list was the Ben and Jerry's factory in this location. It was a cute little factory with a tour, a store and a of course a scoop shop. Although we werent allowed to take pictures of the facility during the tour, I was marveled at how much it takes to make one scoop of icecream. It was incredible to know that. Since we were on a weekend there, we couldnt see the icecream actually being made though. All in all we had a wonderful time. Here are some of the sights from the place.
Mom and Dad posing as Ben and Jerry inside the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough carton cap.
Replica of the "Cowmobile" that burned to ground in Cleveland, OH after four months of cross-country free scoop extravaganza in 1986. Whether the free scoop could have got fame or not, but the burning down of "Cowmobile" did get them a lot of news space.
Mom and dad enjoyed doing a little spin art too.
Dad tried grabbing the cone on the wall. :P
I specially loved the artwork on the tables.
Some of the euphoric flavors (as mentioned) and new flavors for this year.
No. 1 flavor per the Ben and Jerry's folks is Cherry Garcia. Personally I dont like it...but who knows where they did the poll. :P Unofficially "Half Baked" is leading is what they had said during the tour though.
Other cute attractions: Flowing milk, Fallen Scoop cup, Huge cup of icecream on the wall, the cute clock.
Everything around was so cute...even the bathrooms had cute doors.
We closed the visit with two scoops each of the favorite Ben and Jerry's flavors in a waffle cone. A cute place to visit and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
