Sights at Charlotte Airport - Something Different, Something Awful, Something Relaxing

One thing that I found surprising and pleasant, if may say, was this lady who was welcoming everyone who was coming in to the women's restroom. Her exact words were, "Welcome to Ladies Washroom! Stall is empty and clean. Please go." and never without a smile.  She had been contionuously telling this. And indeed that restroom was maintained really really well and smelling pleasant too. I was charmed by her attitude, work and everthing. I came to know that her name was Anne and that she does this every minute of her duty. When I asked her, "Why", her answer was "No one should come to restroom and leave unhappy. Like everything else in life, this should also be a pleasant experience. I took  her permission to take her pic and wanted to talk more but the time was so busy that I did not want to take her away from her work. I did leave a tip though appreciating her work. Impressive indeed!

That covers the "Something Different" part. Now coming to the "Something Awful" part. Stopped by at this bagel place and ordered a vegetarian version of a spicy jalapeno cheddar bagel for breakfast. And that's when the "awful" phase started. First, they picked the wrong bagel. I had to correct them. Then they made a meat version of the sandwich. When I noticed and recorrected the person simply removed meat pieces and gave it to me. I asked for it to be made again cause I dont eat red meat or sausage kind. He made it again. Hoping that it tastes good I paid and went to sit down to eat. First bite made me feel like I was biting into a piece of charred wood. The whole bagel was over cooked and too crispy. What did I do: throw it in trash, explain them why I did and walked off to another place for my breafast. Gosh, it was so awful that it would take atleast a few weeks before I can eat another bagel. **Sigh**

Now the last part "Something Pleasant". Across the corridor I saw these pool chairs placed facing the view of the planes outside wither gated or landing and taking off. One could relax and enjoy the view or just doze off while waiting for the planes. Cute!
