06/28/2012: Quinoa Fruit Breakfast - I love Honey Bunches of Oats for my breakfast normally. However, once I got introduced to Quinoa, I realized Quinoa also makes a very good replacement for my regular breakfast item. It was quite surprising to realize that I could like something else with the same enthusiasm. :)
Recipe: In a quart pan, mix 1 cup Quinoa, 1 cup Milk, 1/2 cup Water, 1/4 tsp Salt, 1/4 cup Fruit of your choice (I used one Apple and 1/2 a Banana), a few Walnuts and Sugar per taste. Heat on low flame until Quinoa gets cooked well until it reaches the consistency you like. Serve it warm or cold.
