05/08/2012: Vegetable Soup - I make soups occasionally but never spicier. However, this I made a little spicy for a sick friend who was suffering from sore throat and cough leading to cold that day. Unfortunately could not feed the person who needed it cause the idiot friend was very adamant on staying away from every human contact lest they contracted the cold or cough. Stubborn as ever! **smirking** I enjoyed savoring it though. **evil smirk**
Recipe: Courtesy of my good friend Sruthi.
Chop all the vegetables one would like to have in their soup. I had Carrots, Beans, Onions, Green Peas and Spring Onions in my fridge which I used for soup that day. In a little Oil fry the veggies. Add enough water and bring it to a boil. In a small bowl mix one tbsp of Corn Flour in cold Water and make it a fine paste. Add this to the soup along with Salt, Pepper and Red Chilli Powder. Simmer on low flame for a few minutes. Remove from flame and decorate with sprigs of Cilantro. Serve hot for a wonderful soothing feeling in one's throat.
