Magic In Tunes: 05/25/2015 – Mil Gaya Mil Gaya

This song is from the less-known 1980 Hindi film Unees-Bees ( = 19-20) Sung by Mohd. Rafi and Udit Narayan. Music composed by Rajesh Roshan and Lyrics penned by Amit Khanna. The only reason this movie is mentionable is because Rajesh Roshan has given Udit Narayan his first break as a playback singer. And who better than singing along with Mohd. Rafi for a break. Lucky Udit Narayan, I must say!

Lyrics in Romanized Hindi:

Aye Khuda Tera Laakh Laakh Shukriya
Tune Meri Dua Karli Qubool
Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya
Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya

Dil Kehta Hai Gaata Hi Gaaon, Jhoomoo Nacho Main Khushiyan Lutaaon
Dil Kehta Hai Gaata Hi Gaaon, Jhoomoo Nacho Main Khushiyan Lutaaon
Ab Nahin Gam Koi, Jaagi Taqdeer Koi; Ab Nahin Gam Koi, Jaagi Taqdeer Koi
Na Ho Bhai Se Bhai Juda
Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya
Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya

Mere Chanda Ko Suraj Mila Hai, Dekho Kaise Arey Chehra Khila Hai
Mere Chanda Ko Suraj Mila Hai, Dekho Kaise Arey Chehra Khila Hai
Main Bhi Nehraaongi, Yahi Dohraaongi; Main Bhi Nehraaongi, Yahi Dohraaongi
Aaj Din Ko Ujala Mila
Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya
Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya

Lahu Ne Lahu Ko Pukara, Oh Bhai Ka Bhai Sahara
Lahu Ne Lahu Ko Pukara, Oh Bhai Ka Bhai Sahara
Allah Meherbaan Woi Woi, Wallah Qurbaan Woi Woi
Allah Meherbaan Woi Woi, Wallah Qurbaan Woi Woi
Khaal Ko Bhi Mazaa Aa Gaya

Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya; Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya
Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya; Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Dhoondne Se Jise Mil Gaya

Magic In Tunes: 05/26/2015 – Vedham La Goshinche Godavari

From the 1983 Telugu historical film Andhra Kesari ( = Lion of the region Andhra) Sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. Music composed by Chellapalli Satyam and Lyrics penned by Arudra. The movie is about the life history of Tanguturi Prakasam who played a key role in the formation of the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is sad that the state is now divided into two more states now for pure political or otherwise reasons.

This song however describes the historical city of Rajahmundry ( AKA Rajamahendri) and in turn brings in the famous people that marked their life here.
